Our Location

The Fire Island Hotel

Fire Island Hotel & Resort is your intimate beachside oasis in Ocean Bay Park, Fire Island, NY. Well known by local residents and foreigners alike, our white sand beach along the Atlantic coast is a best kept secret and jewel of New York. Fire Island Hotel & Resort, just steps from this jewel, offers a variety of guest accommodation including: 2-bedroom cottages with full kitchens, suites with kitchenettes and single and double rooms in a laid back and relaxing environment.

All our lodgings include private and/or semi-private decks so one can enjoy the outdoors, smell the salt air breezes while listening to the waves splash up the beach and allow one to put aside pressures and worries and just kick back. There is no hustle and bustle here, no cars, no traffic, just a great beach and great place to get away. Our guestroom amenities include heat and air conditioning, flat screen satellite TV with DVD players, Ipod docking stations, new Marietta linens all in an intimate, clean and comfortable space. Amenities on site include our wifi equipped lobby lounge serving up cold lemonade and cup of java for you, our sun drenched pool, our own Hurricane’s Tiki Bar and Grill serving up cocktails and American bistro daily, and our own South Lawn where you sit back and chill in one of our Adirondack chairs or hammocks.

There are many scheduled events through the season, including our music series, the FI5K, fishing tournaments, etc. through the season and we suggest you visit our happenings tab to find out more.

The Fire Island Hotel & Resort has a rich history, being one of the last standing US Life Saving Stations surviving into the 20th Century. Visit our history page to read a little about our resort before you arrive.

We thank you for checking in with us on our web site and we look forward to seeing you here and at the beach.

I have been to the Fire Island Hotel for the last 3 years in a row and it's always such a nice break from city life. Hanging at Hurricanes after a day on the beach sipping a Pina Colada is the only way to go.
