Formerly the Old Forge Life Saving Station operated under the US Coast Guard from 1909, the Fire Island Hotel & Resort located in Ocean Bay Park, Fire Island, NY is the last remaining station of its kind yet it started a new chapter in its history in 1989. After nearly 100 years of abuse of ocean breezes and salted air and water, it is slowly being restored to provide amenities and service not offered anywhere else on the island. Aside from our popular as ever in ground pool, our Hurricane’s restaurant serves up good grub of continental fare and even better summertime grog.
